United Nations Summit on Biodiversity

The goal of the World Biodiversity Summit is to bridge biodiversity and climate and to accelerate investment-driven solutions to the biodiversity crisis. The Summit will serve as a convening for leaders from across public and private sectors, to set the world on a path to achieve the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity through actionable leadership and supporting the facilitation of a task force on nature-related financial disclosures.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change. The sixth Assessment Report (AR6) includes an interactive atlas.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) Status Reports

The TCFD has developed a framework to help public companies and other organizations more effectively disclose climate-related risks and opportunities through their existing reporting processes.

BP’s Statistical Review of World Energy 2021 reveals that the COVID-19 pandemic had a dramatic impact on energy markets, with both primary energy and carbon emissions falling at their fastest rates since the Second World War. Nevertheless, renewable energy continued to grow, with solar power recording its largest ever increase.
